Returning students have access to scholarships and bursaries based on various criteria such as academic meritfinancial needcommunity involvement, leadership qualities and more.

If you have previously received a renewable award, Saint Mary's will contact you about your ongoing status.

Awards explained

We have hundreds of awards that consider more than just grades. They may consider:

  • Financial need
  • Community service
  • Extracurricular activities

Values range from hundreds to thousands of dollars.

Apply by filling out the Undergraduate Awards Program (UAP) application form before the application deadline.

These awards are made possible by many generous donors. If you receive one, take a moment to learn more about the award.

These competitive awards are for domestic and international high school applicants with an admission average of 95% or higher, or an IB result of 36+.

The scholarships include:

  • Presidential Scholarship
  • Presidential É«»¨Ìà Baccalaureate Scholarship
  • Santamarian Scholarship
  • Sobey National Innovator Scholarship

Values are typically thousands of dollars and renew in subsequent years if the student reaches the required academic standard.

To apply for these scholarships, be sure to complete Part 3 of the Undergraduate Awards Program (UAP) application and any other additional requirements noted there.

If an award requires a personal statement, we have resources to help you prepare one.

Some scholarships and bursaries require individual applications. 

Note that many of these accept applications throughout the year.
