Congratulations! If you are reading this, chances are someone you know is preparing to embark on a new and exciting stage of life – their university journey. The transition to university can be an exhilarating and anxious time for first-year students. As a supporter, you play a critical role in helping your student adjust to a new environment with increased freedom and responsibility. Simultaneously, you are guaranteed to have a range of emotions yourself—from pride and excitement to worry.

The Parent and Supporter Guide explores some typical changes and challenges while providing tips on how best to support your student as they begin their Saint Mary's experience.

Parent & Supporter Orientation:  Saturday, Sept 5, 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. ADT

Parent and Supporters are invited to attend a 90-minute session that focuses on the common transitions students face when starting university. Supporters will learn more about what to expect, what services and supports Saint Mary's provides and tips for how to support your student during their first year of study.
