The Student Health Clinic is offering temporary access to same-day and episodic healthcare services for Saint Mary's University (SMU) staff and faculty from July 14 to August 15, 2026.
This temporary service expansion provides access to care for acute, short-term and preventive healthcare needs during the summer months.

The Summer Walk-in Clinic is available to all Saint Mary's staff and faculty, including individuals who are not existing patients of the Student Health Clinic.

The clinic is available to all Saint Mary's University staff and faculty during the temporary service period, regardless of whether you have previously been seen at the Student Health Clinic.
No. Existing Health Clinic patients and staff and faculty who have never visited the clinic are both eligible to access this temporary service.
Yes. This temporary service is available whether or not you have a primary care provider.
No. Receiving care through the Summer Walk-in Clinic does not establish an ongoing patient-provider relationship or attach you to a healthcare provider.
No. The SMU Summer Walk-in Clinic is intended to provide temporary access to same-day and episodic healthcare services only. It does not replace a family physician or nurse practitioner.
If you are currently without a primary care provider, you should continue searching for one. Individuals who meet the eligibility criteria may also wish to learn more about Dr. Mark Williams' Family Practice, which is currently accepting a limited number of new patients.
The clinic can provide care for many common and preventive healthcare needs, including minor illnesses, STI testing, prescription renewals for stable medications, contraception counselling, Pap tests, immunizations and other appropriate short-term health concerns.
The clinic is not able to provide ongoing management or follow-up for chronic or complex medical conditions, or replace the care provided by your regular primary care provider.
