Student Research

As part of our commitment to providing unique, hands-on learning experiences and supporting quality sport-related education, we offer opportunities for students to get involved, gain experience, and advance sport through a variety of research opportunities.

From research assistantships that allow you to get involved with the work experienced academics are leading, to grants and bursaries that support you as you pursue your academic goals, the Scott McCain & Leslie McLean Centre for Sport, Business and Health is here to help the ideas of today transform into the systems of tomorrow.

Research Assistants

We seek student and student-athlete involvement in many of our research activities. With research projects ranging in topic from athlete wellbeing, to sport governance, to mindfulness and sport-related data analytics—we're advancing knowledge in a myriad of sport-related ventures that hold relevance across a broad range of disciplines.

Undergraduate Research

We aim to provide support for undergraduate research projects that are thorough, well-presented, and have actionable plans to further knowledge that supports a better future for sport. These opportunities are announced as they appear, and we highlight the work that is generated through these opportunities to help undergraduate researchers further their academic goals.

Graduate Research

For students pursuing graduate studies, we understand the depth and breadth of detail they need to pursue in order to fulfill the requirements of their advanced education. The support we offer for graduate students aims to further their work, especially when it ties clearly into the themes of our mandateallowing graduate students to access resources, expertise, and networks that elevate their work in sport.
