Research Profile Set-up Page

Starting in January 2026, we initiated a process to establish a single primary location/method for ALL individual full-time faculty profiles/pages on the SMU.CA site. The transition is a move to have all full-time faculty utilize the new SMU researcher profile system.

This change is part of a broader effort to streamline university communications. Once the transition is complete, all existing SMU.CA profiles will automatically redirect to the new SMU research profiles, preserving user access and link continuity. While the new system will serve as the primary directory for faculty, professors can still include links to external personal, lab, or research group websites.

The new platform centralizes academic profile management, reducing duplication of effort. É«»¨Ìà only need to maintain one profile for internal reporting, public visibility, and institutional collaboration. To save time, the system can automatically pull publications directly from ORCID iD or the NSERC/SSHRC CCV.

  • Access Issues: If you are a full-time faculty member and cannot sign in, email Dr. Sarty, AVP Research, at dean.fgsr@smu.ca.

  • Questions: For assistance while building your profile, contact the Software and Application Support Center (SaS) at sas@smu.ca. Your questions will help build a future FAQ page.
