Department of Astronomy & Physics
A small but highly-regarded research hub offering a full range of degrees.
The Department of Astronomy and Physics is saddened to learn about the passing of Dr. Ralph M. Medjuck, whose generosity and support was transformative for the observatory and astronomy at Saint Mary's University. In 2013, he and Mrs. Shirlee Medjuck made a substantial contribution towards the renewal of the BGO, which included the replacement of its then 40-year-old telescope. The new telescope, a state-of-the-art Planewave CDK24, was named the Dr. Ralph Medjuck Telescope in his honour.
