On Wednesday, August 12, Saint Mary’s University hosted a public viewing event for the partial solar eclipse, organized by the Burke-Gaffney Observatory team in collaboration with dedicated volunteers and supported by the Dean of Science Office.
The afternoon was a resounding success, bringing together students, staff, youth groups, and local residents for an engaging community astronomy experience.
The Burke-Gaffney Observatory team extends a warm thank-you to all the volunteers and the Dean of Science Office whose support made this event possible, as well as everyone who came out to share in the wonder of the solar eclipse!
